Our aim is to help clients live independently. We provide rehabilitation services for people with chronic mental illness like Schizophrenia and Bipolar Affective Disorder (manic depressive illness).This is done through residential facilities run by the Fellowship, like our halfway home, long stay home and a non-residential day care facility. The therapeutic community approach is followed for facilitating the process of rehabilitation.

At the Halfway Home we train residents in these skills:

  • Compliance in taking medication
  • Work habit
  • Leisure time utilization time and money management
  • Individual and family therapy
  • Social skills
  • Interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • Home management
  • Crisis management
  • Relapse prevention
  • Insight facilitation



HalfWay Home--ASHA

People requiring short stay of 6 to 12 months

Designed to develop a sense of responsibility and accountability through a structured programme.Medication Compliance and skill teaching such as Personal Hygiene, Money and time Management. Provides individual, group and family therapy to people suffering from chronic Schizophrenia and Bipolar affective disorders. Maximum 21 residents

Fee Structure :

Trial Stay: ₹5,000 (will be adjusted on admission)

Admission Fees:  ₹ 1,000/-

Refundable Deposit:₹50,000/-

Monthly Fees: ₹19,000/-

Medication & Pocket money: ₹3,000

Associate Membership Fee: ₹1,000

LongStay Home--JYOTHI

People with chronic schizophrenia or mood disorders requiring long stay.

Designed to let residents develop a sense of independence. They are encouraged to find employment outside and are given training in appropriate vocational skills. Open to adults suffering from Schizophrenia or Mood Disorders who have undergone rehabilitation in the Fellowship halfway home. Fully family-funded
RFS(I) takes only professional responsibility for its running Maximum 12 residents Duration of stay is flexible

Day Care Centre--CHETANA

People between the age of 18 and 45 years recovering from Schizophrenia and Affective Disorders. Those suffering from Epilepsy with Behavioral Disorders and people with Mild or Moderate Mental Retardation

Training in basic living skills. Job and vocational skills training in Screen Printing, Plastic Molding & Welding, Tailoring & Embroidery, in addition to basic skills in computers and hand block printing. Guidance, which help in job placement and retention. An environment that inculcates good work habits. Regular opportunities for families of clients to discuss the progress of their wards. Regular Psycho-education sessions for the families.
Maximum 45 clients.
Fee Structure :

Admission to Richmond Fellowship Society (India) Bangalore Branch facilities is made on the basis of recommendation of the treating psychiatrist. The suitability of a person for admission is assessed by the Admissions Committee.

Admission to the half way home will be done after completion of a ‘trial Stay’ period of 7 to 10 days with the informed voluntary consent from the client. A local treating psychiatrist and a local guardian are required to cater to the medical and personal requirements of the client.
