Since 2004 we have proactively taken care, awareness-raising and support services to a rural population estimated at 150,000 people. These life-changing services are free for the clients – there are no other specialized mental health services operating in the 28 Panchayats of Sidlaghatta Taluk we serve.  Outreach Programme  Primarily rural population Community programme to sensitize and spread awareness about mental health and problems related to it.
 Community Awareness Programme  Different groups of people in the 28 panchayat of the Sidlghatta Taluk Increase general awareness related to mental health and illness.
 Formation of Carer’s groups  Parents / guardians To encourage healthy discussion and for sharing the problems.
 Identification of new cases   All the villages of the Taluk are visited by the Outreach Worker to gather information from village leaders and the community to identify the patients suffering from mental illness.
 Follow-up of Drop-out and irregular cases   by Parent/Gurdian(one time payment on admission)

Admission to the Day care center of Richmond Fellowship Society (India) Sidlaghatta Branch facility is made on the basis of recommendation by the treating psychiatrist. The suitability of person for admission is assessed by a Clinical Admissions Committee. The family should apply in the prescribed form available on request and also on line.

In order to be seen by the psychiatrist at the out reach clinic of RFS(I) Sidlaghatta, the patient has to be registered.

Applications and registration can be completed at the monthly camps/ Clinics

Currently the Day programme and the outreach camps are running in the Government Hospital of Sidlaghatta.
